Buyers usually choose a compressor on horsepower and then discover the problem is geometry. This one is worth looking at the other way round. At 47" tall it stands lower than a workbench is long, which means it slides under a mezzanine deck, beneath a run of overhead ductwork, below a garage-door track or into a room with a header that would stop a vertical tank at the doorway. If your building has an overhead obstruction, that number decides the purchase before any of the others matter.
What sits under that height is not a compromise: a 10 HP motor on 230V 3-Phase power, an L-Series solid cast-iron two-stage pump on belt drive, an after-cooler, and a 120-gallon horizontal receiver rated to 175 PSI with a 1" outlet.
The three dimensions that decide it

The 47" height is what gets it into the room. The 29" width is what gets it through the door - a standard single leaf will usually pass it, but measure the trim, not the nominal size. The 78" length is what you plan the wall for, and it is also the dimension that catches people on the way in: a corridor that a 78" load can enter and a corner that a 78" load can turn are different tests. Add the pallet it travels on and check the ramp, if there is one.
Then leave working room. The sight glass has to be readable and the tank drain has to be reachable without moving the machine, because maintenance that requires effort is maintenance that stops happening.
What a 120-gallon receiver actually buys you
A big tank does not make more air; the pump does that. What the tank buys is time. Every gallon of storage is a buffer between demand and the pump, and the practical effect is that the motor starts less often and runs longer when it does. Fewer starts is easier on the starter contacts, the windings and the belts, and a longer run at a steadier temperature is easier on the oil.
It also flattens out the short, violent demands a shop makes - a burst on an impact gun, a blow-off nozzle, a cabinet blaster - so pressure at the tool stays where the gauge says it is instead of sagging every time somebody pulls a trigger. On a two-stage machine intended to run for a decade, that storage is doing quiet structural work.
Air quality
An after-cooler is fitted, so the air is cooled before it enters the receiver and much of the moisture it carries condenses there, where the tank drain can get rid of it rather than the hose. That is the single biggest improvement you can make to shop air short of a dryer, and it is standard on this model. There is no air dryer and no electronic drain valve fitted, so draining the tank is a manual job on a schedule - put it on the same list as sweeping up.
Lubrication is a splash system with an oil sight glass, and there is no low-oil shutdown. The level is checked by eye, by a person, on a routine.

Certification, stated plainly
The receiver and its safety valve carry the ASME pressure-vessel code stamp, which is the certification this machine claims. Its scope is the vessel and the relief device that protects it, and nothing wider. It is not a third-party safety listing of the completed electrical assembly, and it is not a document an electrical inspector is looking for. If your insurer or a customer contract requires a named listing on powered shop equipment, read the requirement carefully and check it against this unit before ordering - the pressure-vessel stamp is often assumed to cover it and generally does not.

We ship this by freight throughout the lower 48 states, with the cost quoted live at checkout for your address. At 855 lbs it travels on a pallet aboard a truck, and getting it off that truck is arranged by you: a forklift, a loading dock, or terminal pickup where you collect it from the carrier yourself. Residential delivery is available and a residential fee applies at checkout. Inspect before signing - look over the tank, feet, guard and control box, photograph anything questionable, and write it on the bill of lading in front of the driver. Warranty
The cover is 1 year on the unit and 2 years on the pump, for consumer and commercial use. Report a fault before dismantling anything; a pump already stripped is nearly always a claim already lost, since nobody can inspect what failed. Write down the model and serial number on delivery, keep the invoice with them, and keep a simple maintenance log. That log is worth more in a warranty conversation than any amount of recollection.
