The motor is a TEFC design with an IP 55 washdown rating, meaning the windings are enclosed and protected rather than open to shop dust. Control is start and stop operation through a UL and cUL compliant control panel, and the package is specified for a minimum ambient of 36°F, which is worth checking against an unheated building in January.

Will It Fit?

The compressor sits on a horizontal 60-gallon receiver and measures 56 inches long, 23 inches wide and 51 inches high, weighing 465 lbs. That is a genuinely compact package for continuous air, and the small footprint is part of the design brief rather than a happy accident. Discharge is a 1/2-inch tank outlet. Leave clearance around the enclosure for cooling airflow and for the service panels; an enclosed machine that cannot breathe will run hot and shorten the oil life you paid for.

Electrically it needs 230V 1-phase power with a magnetic starter, which is fitted. Breaker and conductor sizing is a certified electrician job against your service — the manufacturer instruction is to consult one rather than publish a figure that cannot know your building or your run length. Confirming the supply, the doorway, the access route and the floor before you order is the buyer responsibility.

Specifications

Certification, Stated Plainly

The specification sheet records an ASME mark, and the control panel is stated as UL and cUL compliant. It is worth being exact about the boundary between those. The ASME mark is a pressure vessel certification covering the receiver — its design, its material and its construction — and it is what an inspector or an insurer will look for on a tank. The panel compliance covers the electrical controls, not the machine as a whole. Neither of them certifies air quality for breathing or for food contact, and neither removes any local requirement to register, permit or periodically inspect a pressure vessel. Check what applies at your address before installation rather than after it.

Shipping and Delivery

Freight only, to the lower 48 states, quoted live at checkout for your address. Two things to arrange before the truck is booked. The first is how the machine comes off it: a forklift or a loading dock at the delivery point, or collection from the freight terminal if you have neither at the site. The second is the address type, because a residential delivery is a different operation for a carrier and carries a residential fee — tell us the truth about the destination and the quote will be right the first time.

At delivery, inspect before signing. Bent guards, a cracked gauge, oil on the wrap, a dented receiver corner: all of it goes on the bill of lading before the driver pulls away. That single habit is the difference between a freight claim that settles and one that goes nowhere.

Warranty

Base cover is a 1-year factory warranty. There are two extensions and they have different conditions, so read them carefully. An extended 3-year factory warranty is available when you register the unit with Quincy and service it using Quincy maintenance kits. Beyond that, the True Blue 5-year warranty applies where the machine has had a Quincy authorized start-up, and it covers the airend, the motor, the separator reservoir and the cooler and heat exchanger. If the long warranty is part of why you are buying this compressor, arrange the authorized start-up before the machine is commissioned rather than afterwards, because it is a precondition and not a formality.
